
(Patria) - Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton (KS) Kenan Magoda attended the commemoration of the second anniversary of the death of one of the most significant Bosnian-Herzegovinian writers, Abdulah Sidran, which was held this evening at the Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo.
The commemorative program was designed in cooperation between the Bosniak Institute and the Sidran Foundation, and was led by BH journalist Dževdet Tuzlić. On that occasion, he pointed out that this was an opportunity to remember a man we loved and who continues to live through his works and in the hearts of readers.
Within the program, Šuki Planjanin was in charge of the musical part, while actors Tarik Džinić and Snežana Bogićević interpreted Sidran's poems.
On this occasion, Magoda emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and stated that the Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS will continue to support projects that preserve the memory of giants of Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature such as Abdulah Sidran.
- The works of Abdulah Sidran represent an indelible part of the cultural identity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His words transcend time and generations, and it is our duty to nurture and preserve the legacy he left us - Magoda stated.
During the evening, the premiere screening of a lyrical video inspired by the poem "Partisan Cemetery", authored by Nedim Zlatar, was also held, as well as the presentation of a postage stamp featuring Sidran's likeness.
