No new infections in Sarajevo, seven patients in hospitals

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data from the Institute for Public Health of Sarajevo Canton, during the past 24 hours in Sarajevo Canton, 173 laboratory tests for the presence of coronavirus were performed. There were no new confirmed cases of infection with this virus. The total number of patients with the infectious disease COVID-19 in Sarajevo Canton remains at 108.

“Currently, seven patients are hospitalized. Two people are undergoing hospital treatment at the General Hospital, and five are in the isolation ward of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo. There are no patients on ventilators. Yesterday, the recovery of five people was recorded, bringing the total number of recovered in the Canton to 56, and the number of active cases to 42. There were no deaths yesterday,” according to data from the Institute's bulletin.

The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton recorded three cases of violation of self-isolation measures during the past 24 hours, and two people are in forced isolation.

Since the declaration of the state of emergency on March 18, 2020, 5,165 people have registered with the Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton.
