Exhibition of works by Erdoan Morankić, tragically killed in tram accident, to open in Sarajevo on June 12

(Patria) - An exhibition of works by Erdoan Morankić (2003-2026), a student of the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Sarajevo who tragically died in a tram accident in Sarajevo, will open at the Academy's Gallery on Friday, June 12.

Morankić, a student at the Academy of Fine Arts and a young artist from Brčko, died on February 12 when a tram jumped the tracks and hit a station near the National Museum, where he was waiting for transport.

Four other people were injured in the accident.

The exhibition titled "In memoriam: Erdoan Morankić (2003–2026)" will be realized in cooperation with students of the Academy, presenting to the public the works that Erdoan created during his studies.

As the organizers stated, the event is dedicated to preserving the memory of his artistic work, creative energy, and the mark he left among colleagues, professors, and friends.

The exhibition will be opened by Assistant Professor Ema Mazrak, PhD, and visitors will be able to view the display from June 12 to 21 at the Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.

The opening is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
