Medical equipment ordered by Violeta arrives in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Johann Sattler, and BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović will today, April 18, 2020, in the evening hours, welcome the arrival of a plane that will deliver medical equipment donated by the BiH company Violeta, the flight of which was financed by the EU.

The European Union paid for the transport of the donated equipment to ensure it is delivered to healthcare institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible. This includes 6 ventilators and 420,000 pieces of various medical supplies and protective equipment donated by the company Violeta.

The same flight will also deliver medical protective equipment donated by the City of Shanghai to the City of Sarajevo.

The European Union has so far allocated 7 million euros for urgent medical needs for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight against coronavirus.
