(Patria) - Nearly 1,500 Bosniaks performed Bayram prayer this morning, local time, at the largest congregation of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks of North America in Saint Louis.
The sermon before the Bayram prayer was delivered by Imran-ef. Burkić, imam on Ramadan practice, and Enver-ef. Kunić, imam of the Bosnian Islamic Centre St. Louis congregation, who also led the prayer.
The Bayram sermon was delivered by the congregation's imam, Selvir-ef. Mujanović. Speaking about the significance of Bayram, Mujanović emphasized that believers today see what they have carried over from Ramadan.
He also reminded those present of the hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in which he said that on Bayram morning, angels descend and their call is heard by all creatures on Earth, except for humans and jinn.
- Allah promises us that today we will not ask for anything from the Hereafter without it being granted to us - said Mujanović.
