Since March 20, four shootings have been recorded in Sarajevo, three of them only in the night from Friday to Saturday, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. Last night, one shooting and a case of firearm injury were recorded, but under still unclear circumstances, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Irfan Nefić, spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, told reporters that in more than 99% of cases, it is about illegal weapons without permits from the competent authority.

- During controls in 2014, 70 pistols, 340 rifles, 189 knives, machetes, sabers, 18 hand grenades, 10 brass knuckles, and more than 3,000 pieces of various ammunition were seized.

Commenting on the security situation in the Sarajevo Canton, Nefić said that according to the facts, they have a smaller number of reported criminal offenses, but that the events of the previous days are causing unrest among citizens.

Stormy Friday

In the first shooting on Kranjčevićeva Street, T.E., born in 1988 in Sarajevo, was injured. He came with his brothers to the apartment of Č.F. Č.F. fired several shots in the direction of T.E., causing injuries to his left arm and both legs, while the other two left the scene.

Police officers of the First Police Station deprived Č.F., born in 1958 in Sarajevo, of his liberty due to causing general danger, and his wife Č.S., born in 1959, due to causing general danger and aiding. Also arrested were K.A., born in 1965, due to violent behavior, and T.E. (1984), who was later released.

Attempted murder

The second shooting occurred on March 21, 2015, around 03:00 hours, in the catering facility "Podrum", on Zelenih beretki Street, by two persons, B.A. and S.E., both from Sarajevo, targeting persons Š.I. from Sarajevo and G.J., a citizen of the Republic of Serbia.

On that occasion, Š.I. sustained firearm injuries, while G.J. was injured by a blow with the handle of a pistol to the head. The gunshot wounds of Š.I. were classified as severe bodily injuries dangerous to life, and he was kept at the Sarajevo University Clinical Center for further treatment.

For the criminal offense of attempted murder, police officers are searching for suspects B.A., born in 1987 in Sarajevo, and S.E., born in 1981 in Sarajevo, where they reside.

Continuing work on clarifying all circumstances of the mentioned criminal offense, police officers came to know that three more persons can be linked to B.A. and S.E., who are also being sought: J.E., born in 1986 in Ivangrad, B.A., born in 1981 in Sarajevo, and K.E., born in 1978 in Sarajevo, all residing in Vogošća.

The same night, a shooting also occurred in front of the catering facility "Kato". Three unknown persons approached the facility with the intention to enter. The owner, Š.K., recognized one person, A.Z., and after Š.K. did not allow them to enter, A.Z. hit Š.K. in the head with the handle of a pistol, then fired one shot from a firearm in the direction of the catering facility. After that, the persons left the scene, and no one was injured from the use of the firearm.

Causing general danger

Last night at 21:30 hours, the Third Police Station was informed that in the catering facility "Bife Nisko", Trg međunarodnog prijateljstva, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, a firearm was used. On that occasion, K.N., born in 1964, sustained minor bodily injuries. Medical assistance was provided to him at the Sarajevo University Clinical Center, which he left on his own initiative, refusing further hospitalization.

Two men, H.E. and D.Š., whom he knew from before, entered his facility. They first physically attacked him, and then H.E. fired several shots at him.

Police officers deprived D.Š., born in 1950, of his liberty, and continue to search for H.E., born in 1955, both residing in Sarajevo. Both are previously known for committing criminal offenses.

False statement

Last night, a person M.F., born in 1995, was admitted to the Sarajevo University Clinical Center with firearm wounds, but refused further hospitalization. During the clarification of this event, he gave contradictory information to police officers about the location of the criminal offense, which was established after checks, as no traces that could be expected in such a case were found. Activities continue to fully document the mentioned event and determine all relevant facts.

Incidentally, in the past period, reports on two committed criminal offenses against M.F. were submitted to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo.
