(Patria) - A meeting of the ruling coalition in RS was held today in Banja Luka.
President of the United Srpska Nenad Stevandić announced for Monday a meeting of the presidents of all political parties from RS to decide on further steps regarding the upcoming local elections.
- We decided that I, as the President of the National Assembly, should invite all presidents of political parties from RS, as well as representatives of local parties that are not at the republic level and do not have deputies, but have councilors, to hold talks on this topic on Monday - said Stevandić.
He claims that the ruling coalition has not made a decision on which law to use for the elections, as it is a matter of general importance requiring a unified stance.
- Depending on the opposition's stance on whether we can reach an agreement, if not, on Tuesday we will have a new meeting of the ruling coalition where we will make a decision - said Stevandić after the meeting.
He adds that the proposal is for the elections to be postponed and conducted according to the Election Law of RS.
