On Monday, gathering before the BiH Prosecutor's Office and Court due to new indictment against Ahmet Sejdić and others

(Patria) - The Truth for Goražde Foundation is organizing a protest rally on Monday, August 21, between 12 PM and 1 PM in front of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and Court in Sarajevo.

"The protests are organized against the unjust prosecution of the defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Army of RBiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RBiH, who are being targeted to relativize the past and carry out historical revisionism, i.e., to deny the past and facts established and ruled upon by two United Nations courts in The Hague. Through the prosecution of our defenders, they are trying to impose lies that protect the aggressor. At the same time, criminals who held Sarajevo, Goražde, Žepa, Tuzla, and Bihać under siege and killed civilians, even though they were United Nations protected zones, are not being prosecuted. The goal of the protests is the fight for truth and justice! The latest case, which was the last straw, is the filing of an indictment against 13 members of the Army of RBiH who defended Podrinje and Goražde, and who are accused of the most serious crimes, even genocide against Serbs! This is a continuation of the systemic persecution of the best sons of our only homeland", they stated.

They called on citizens to join the rally from which clear messages and serious demands will be sent to all relevant domestic and international addresses, the goal of which will primarily be to insist on the consistent implementation of the Strategy for Prosecution of War Crimes (especially Annex "B" thereof), in order to stop the deliberate undertaking of changing the character of the war, equating the victim and the aggressor, and humiliating the defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They will also demand the formation of an international commission to investigate the events in Podrinje, as well as in other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., to continue the work of the Hague Tribunal which the BiH Prosecutor's Office wants to erase.

"From the protest in Sarajevo, we will send a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, informing him about the non-compliance with the UN resolution that initiated the establishment of the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office, non-compliance with the Hague legacy, as well as about the fact that the BiH Prosecutor's Office prosecutes defenders from protected zones while not prosecuting those who held these zones under siege and daily killed civilians and children. Mass turnout is important so that the messages we send are stronger and louder", it is stated.
