(Patria) - Following last night's religious program at the local mosque and memorial in Podveležje, the central event "Paths of the ARBiH Victory" was held today.
In the presence of several hundred believers, a Khatam-dua was recited last night by imams from Mostar, and the attendees were addressed by the representative of the Reis-ul-Ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH, his media advisor Dr. Mustafa Prljača, reports politicki.ba.
At today's central program, attendees were addressed by the Mufti of Mostar Salem ef. Dedović, military commander Šerif Špago, who is currently a representative in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, and Amel Dedić as a minor combatant.
"We were never bothered by the bells from the cathedrals, but we want no one to diminish or degrade our freedom," stated ef. Dedović, among other things.
The event commemorating the liberation of the Podveležje plateau was also graced by KUD Podveležje, sevdalinka performer Namik Husnić, and a choir mentored by music culture professor Belma Jazvin.
More than 100 fighters from Podveležje gave their lives for the defense of this place and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
