On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, movement ban from 12:00 to 5:00 in RS

(Patria) - On May 1st and during the weekend, citizens will not be able to move in the afternoon and night hours, decided yesterday by the Republika Srpska Emergency Situations Headquarters. The Headquarters members call on citizens to respect the decision and announce strict controls.

The increase in the number of newly infected with the coronavirus, habits that most find hard to break in a celebratory atmosphere, and the alarming number of people without masks and gloves prompted the RS Headquarters to resort to another movement ban, which applies to the entire territory of Republika Srpska.

 The Headquarters adopted a conclusion banning movement from Friday - May 1st from 12:00 until Saturday at 05:00, and Saturday from 12:00 until Sunday at 05:00, and from Sunday at 12:00 until Monday at 05:00.

The Minister of Health and Social Protection of Republika Srpska, Alen Šeranić, says that such decisions are necessary during a period of worsening epidemiological situation, which followed an encouraging week. Šeranić reiterated that reducing the number of contacts, physical distancing, and increased personal hygiene are the best protection.

"I think we should respect the decisions and not defy them out of spite, because that is certainly not good. I expect that we will behave properly," says the minister, as reported by RTRS.
