(Patria) - On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Jablanica tragedy, a commemorative academy will be held on Friday, October 3, at the Museum "Battle for the Wounded on the Neretva" starting at 11:00 AM.
"In memory of our fellow citizens who tragically lost their lives in the natural disaster on October 4, 2024, the Municipality of Jablanica is organizing a commemorative academy, which will be held on Friday, October 3, at 11:00 AM in the Museum 'Battle for the Wounded on the Neretva' Jablanica", announced the Municipality.
On the same day, the informal citizens' group "October 4" announced a commemorative gathering to be held at 2:00 PM.
"It will soon be a year since this great catastrophe in which 18 of our fellow citizens lost their lives. With the desire to mark the first anniversary of their suffering, we, the members of their families, are organizing a commemorative gathering on October 3, starting at 2:00 PM", announced the group "October 4".
The commemoration will be held in Donja Jablanica at the site of their suffering, near the old railway station.
