Biggest step forward in equipping civil protection structures in ZDK this year

(Patria) - The Cantonal Civil Protection Headquarters of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (KŠCZ), at a session chaired by the minister for spatial planning, transport and communications and environmental protection Adnan Šabani in his capacity as commander, adopted the Information on the state of preparations for the protection and rescue of people and material goods from natural and other disasters with measures for organizing, developing and strengthening civil protection for 2025.

Head of KŠCZ and director of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration (KUCZ) Džavid Aličić said that the civil protection structures in ZDK are at a satisfactory level of equipment, and that this year the biggest step forward in equipping was made.



- KUCZ procured a helicopter for the needs of civil protection and the police, the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team was equipped, a firefighting vehicle for technical interventions was procured, and we also helped volunteer fire departments, which are the second line of defense against fires.

We have a slight increase in the number of firefighters. We strive to ensure that our civil protection structures are ready to defend people and property from natural and other disasters - said Aličić.

The information will be submitted for confirmation to the Government, and then to the Assembly of ZDK.
