
(Patria)-The best Bosnian-Herzegovinian tennis player Damir Džumhur defeated Swiss Stan Wawrinka in the 2nd round of the ATP tournament in Geneva with 2:1 in sets (3:6, 6:3, 6:4).
It was a quality match that offered a great fight, and the first set went to the Swiss tennis player who made one break and won it 3:6.
In the second set, Džumhur made a break for 3:1, but Wawrinka responded with an automatic re-break. However, Damir took his opponent's serve again in the eighth game, and after saving a break point in the next service game, he took it 6:3 to take the match into the deciding third set.
The third set started with a break by the Swiss, but Damir managed to come back and equalize at 3:3. In the very next game, he made another break and took a 4:3 lead, and until the end, he safely held his serve for a great comeback and victory over the three-time Grand Slam champion.
Džumhur will play Radu Albot from Moldova in the quarterfinals.
