Draft Law on Pardons Adopted in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska

(Patria) - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska today adopted the Draft Law on Pardons, which stipulates criminal offenses for which pardons cannot be granted. These are the most serious criminal offenses against the sexual integrity of a child, as well as acts of terrorism.

"The stipulated criminal offenses for which pardons cannot be granted also include genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity," said the Minister of Justice of RS, Miloš Bukejlović, emphasizing that pardons are granted exclusively by the President of RS.

He claims that the law also more precisely stipulates the composition of the decision on pardon.

During the continuation of the 14th special session, the Law on Amendments to the Law on Foreign Investments was also adopted. The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of RS claims that this will help improve certain solutions with the aim of attracting and encouraging foreign investment in Republika Srpska.

She added that local self-government units will continue to have access to data that business entities with foreign ownership were previously obliged to submit.

The Law on Amendments to the Law on the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the Draft Law on Organic Production were also adopted.

Upon the conclusion of the 14th special session, the 15th special session immediately began, with only one item on the agenda – an increase in salaries for nurses and technicians by 100 KM net.
