Body of a man found in the Neretva River near Mostar

(Patria) - The body of an unidentified male person was found in the Neretva River, in the South Camp area near a swimming pool under construction, on Sunday, it was learned on Monday from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

The Mostar Centar Police Station was notified on Sunday around 08:25 AM that the body of an unidentified male person was seen floating in the Neretva River, in the South Camp area near a swimming pool under construction, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.

They also added that officers from the Cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs' Operational Support Unit (JOP) arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

The Criminal Police Department of the Mostar Police Administration has been informed of the incident to conduct an investigation, as have the emergency medical services who confirmed the death, and the city morgue.
