Martyrs' Day marked at the Srebrenica Memorial Center: We remember every day, we do not forget one day!

(Patria) - A large number of family members of genocide victims, representatives of authorities in our country, and many friends gathered today at the Srebrenica Memorial Center to mark Martyrs' Day.

This year, this day falls on April 11, the eleventh day of the month in which we always remind ourselves: ''WE REMEMBER EVERY DAY, WE DO NOT FORGET ONE DAY!''

"Every year, on the second day of Ramadan Bayram, the Memorial Center is a gathering place where families and friends remember those killed in the genocide. This year as well, after a fitting address and Bayram greeting delivered by Damir ef. Peštalić, the chief imam of the Islamic Community Council of Srebrenica, Surah Yasin and Tewhid were recited for the souls of all martyrs, and the noon prayer was performed," it was announced.

On the second day of Bayram, Bosniaks in our country mark it as Martyrs' Day, visiting cemeteries and remembering the sacrifice that their loved ones had to endure during the aggression on our country.

It is our duty to remember, warn, and cherish the memory of our loved ones who were killed in the most brutal manner.
