Two more small family homes for children without parental care opening in Sarajevo Canton

(Patria) - Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton Enda Pavić Pečenković signed today an agreement on granting the use of properties, owned by this ministry, for the needs of the Joint Institution “Home for Children without Parental Care” Sarajevo.

The agreement was signed with the minister by the acting director of this institution, Samira Puzo.

These are houses with yards in Hrasnica, in the municipality of Ilidža, and in Gornja Vogošća, which have been granted for use to the Joint Institution “Home for Children without Parental Care” for the purpose of opening small family homes.

These are two more family homes in our canton, where children live in an environment closer to a family setting, and they also have a support service for families and children.

As Minister Pečenković stated, these activities will continue in the best interest of children and as part of the initiated process of deinstitutionalization of social protection institutions in Sarajevo Canton.
