Body of a man found in the Miljacka riverbed in Otoka, police, civil protection, and prosecutor on site

(Patria) - Citizens of Sarajevo spotted the body of a man in the Miljacka riverbed before noon today, after which they alerted the police.

"Today at 11:20 AM, citizens reported that they had spotted a lifeless male body in the Miljacka riverbed, in the Otoka area (area behind the stadium). Police officers, civil protection teams, and emergency medical services, as well as firefighters, immediately arrived at the scene. It was determined that the deceased was a male from Sarajevo, born in 1937, whose death was confirmed by an emergency doctor," stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton.

Preliminarily, they added, there is no indication of criminal activity.

Police officers are on the scene, and the duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office has been notified.
