SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A freight train full of wheat arrived at the Klas business premises in Sarajevo. The transport was organized in cooperation with the Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of more efficient delivery of wheat and secure supply of the market with flour and flour products. This delivery amounts to 1,500 tons of wheat.
"We have fulfilled our promise. We said we would do everything to stabilize the flour market, and when the crisis began, we turned on our mills in Sarajevo and Tuzla, and we haven't turned them off since. Since then, we have been producing 500 tons of flour daily and tens of tons of other flour products such as bread, pastries, pasta, and confectionery. This time again, we have proven that with all our capacities, we are a significant factor in the stability of the domestic market. This will remain the case in the future," stated Boris Brković, director of the company Klas d.d. Sarajevo.
Another train composition with wheat will arrive in the next few days. Also, the continuation of cooperation with the Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is planned in order to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of wheat to Klas silos. The last delivery of wheat via the railway transport network was realized five years ago. Due to market needs and increased demand, AS Holding and Klas have once again reacted preventively to ensure sufficient quantities of wheat in the long term for the needs of the entire company and the market.
