(Patria) - An epidemic of the infectious disease measles has been declared in the Sarajevo Canton area, as published in the Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH.
The document outlines measures to be taken with the aim of combating the epidemic.
According to the announcement, during the duration of the epidemic, measures stipulated by the Law on Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases will be implemented.
Measures include education on the prevention of infectious diseases, early detection of infection sources and transmission routes, reporting and isolation of the sick, hospitalization and treatment, as well as enhanced immunization of children.
