Forum held in Jajce: 'Bosnia and Herzegovina as a victim of geopolitical distribution'

(Patria) - Part of the cultural-religious manifestation 'Ajvatovica Days' includes lectures on current social, political and cultural topics, and following that idea, the Medžlis of the Islamic Community of Jajce hosted a forum tonight titled 'Bosnia and Herzegovina as a victim of geopolitical distribution'.

Dr. Jahja Muhasilović spoke within the forum.

'It is interesting that the majority of Bosnia and Herzegovina's population is interested in topics of a geopolitical nature, because they feel the reality of Bosnia and Herzegovina that has been present throughout history. It is about the fact that we are constantly in the crosshairs of geopolitics for several reasons. Primarily, this is due to our position and the resources that Bosnia and Herzegovina has,' said Dr. Muhasilović.

He reminded of the fact that the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is also the case today, has been marked by the competition of major geopolitical actors for influence in this area.

'What has been intensively happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent years is the disenfranchisement of patriotic forces, and I think it is important that our people understand the reasons for all this, so that they can adequately respond to all the challenges that await us, because our country will probably remain interesting for geopolitical rivalries in the future,' emphasized Dr. Muhasilović.

The forum is the second of four events being realized within the 'Ajvatovica Days' in the area of the Medžlis of Jajce, and according to the words of the chief imam, Zehrudin-ef. Hadžić, it is significant that experts speak about such topics.

'There are no taboo topics, as shown by the programs of the 'Ajvatovica Days' manifestation. We should all talk about everything, but of course, it is the experts who speak, and we follow. When there is a void, then everyone should help in their own way to compensate for it, and this is one way of compensating when it comes to this topic,' assessed efendija Hadžić.

Previously, activists of the MIZ Jajce Youth Network, together with representatives of the Medžlis and 'Merhamet', visited the 'Vodopad Ljubavi' Association.

In the organization of the Medžlis of the Islamic Community of Jajce, the book 'Melun' by Enver Čolaković will also be presented, and a program for the farewell of the horsemen will be realized.
