(Patria) - The Commissioner-General of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, says the number of children killed in Gaza is higher than the number of children killed in wars in the last four years.
Lazzarini shared a post on social media about the number of children killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, describing it as shocking.

According to these figures, the number of children killed in the Gaza Strip in Israeli attacks since October 7 last year is higher than the total number of children killed in wars worldwide in the last four years.
"This is a war on children. A war on the future of children," Lazzarini wrote.
He stated that 12,193 children were killed in wars around the world in the last four years, while more than 12,300 were killed in Gaza. He concluded by calling for an immediate ceasefire, especially for the children of Gaza.
