Heavy Rainfall and Floods Announced in the Federation

(Patria) - The weather forecast is not favorable, with heavy rainfall announced, which will almost certainly cause floods. As we unofficially confirmed, the Federal Civil Protection Administration has convened due to these announcements.

Fahrudin Solak told Patria that they are "not in constant session, but they do not take weather forecasts lightly.".

"I don't like to raise panic about anything, but after five days and all the model calculations, it can now be said that floods are not in question, but unfortunately almost completely certain with these calculations, and we should fear them next week with the occurrence of heavy rainfall, especially in the period from May 12 to 16," says Nedim Sladić, an amateur meteorologist.

Given what happened to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2014, the forecast has also alarmed some MPs in the BiH Parliament.

"The bad weather forecast for the next period has associated many people with what we went through in 2014. I see there is fear, and that institutions are not announcing warnings or other more precise information related to this period.

I don't think the panic that is starting to spread can help anyone, but I think institutions must communicate more intensively with citizens and remove any doubt that they are not in control of the information and the situation in general," says Saša Magazinović, an MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, who also sent a parliamentary question on this topic.
