(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Trade announced today that there has been a correction in diesel fuel prices, and that the average retail price of the petroleum product DIESEL BAS EN 590 (10 ppm) has increased by 0.07 KM per liter compared to yesterday, and 0.13 KM per liter compared to March 3rd.
As stated, the average retail price of PREMIUM unleaded gasoline 95, BAS EN 228- BMB 95 as of March 5th remained the same compared to yesterday.
In accordance with the above, the average retail price of diesel (BAS EN 590 Premium) in Bosnia and Herzegovina ranged from 2.29 KM per liter in January to 2.51 KM/l on March 5th, while the price of unleaded gasoline 95 (BAS EN 228 – BMB 95) in the same period varied from 2.32 to 2.35 KM per liter.
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Decision on prescribing measures for direct price control by determining the maximum margin for petroleum products ("Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", number 26/21) is still in force, which prescribes a maximum margin of 0.06 KM per liter of product for legal entities engaged in wholesale trade, while for legal entities engaged in retail trade of petroleum products, the maximum margin is prescribed at 0.25 KM per liter of product.
Control over the application of the aforementioned Decision is carried out continuously by federal and cantonal market inspectors as long as it is in force.
As added in the statement, all market inspectors from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have access to the data received by the Federal Ministry of Trade.
The focus of the inspection supervision is directed at controlling wholesale and retail price calculations, i.e., at controlling the formation of prices prescribed by direct price control measures.
The Federal Ministry of Trade also notes that in order to provide comprehensive and timely information on retail prices at gas stations in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Trade installed a free mobile application for citizens called "FMT FBiH oil info" in June 2019.
