SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Public Health Institute of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced official data on the number of coronavirus infections in FBiH at 10 AM today.
A total of 123 cases of infection have been confirmed, with five deaths.
The Minister of Health of Tuzla Canton, Dajana Čolić, confirmed for Patria that 18 cases have been confirmed in TK, and results for another 46 samples are pending. A cluster related to the Bayer Medical Institute (Heart Center) has appeared in TK, from which the majority of infected individuals originate. According to data and contacts, this cluster involves around 300 people.
The minister confirmed that the clinic has been closed since Friday, March 27, and cannot admit patients.
"Patients and medical staff who were at the Center at the time of sampling and who are monitoring these patients are accommodated there," Čolić said.
There are 17 cases in KS, and new data from the KS Crisis Staff will be released at 1 PM.
The largest number of infected individuals is in HNK, with 44 cases.
A total of 858 tests have been performed in FBiH.
