
(Patria) - The Eid prayer was performed in mosques across Bosnia and Herzegovina on the first day of Ramadan Bayram, which is celebrated for three days. The second day is marked as the Day of Martyrs, when cemeteries are visited and tribute is paid to the finest sons of Bosnia and Herzegovina who gave their lives in defense of the country during the 1992-1995 aggression.
The Eid prayer in the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo was led by the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović.


The traditional Eid greetings at the Grand Mufti Kavazović's residence will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 AM in the Administrative Building of the Rijaset in Kovači.
The Islamic Community marks the second day of Ramadan Bayram as the Day of Martyrs, and on this occasion, the central program will be held at the Kovači Martyrs' Cemetery in Sarajevo, starting at 10:00 AM.
The program envisions delegations paying tribute and laying flowers at the central plateau, followed by the grave of the first President of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović, in the same order.
After that, starting at 10:30 AM, the religious part of the program will follow, organized by the Military Muftiate. Military imams will recite Ya-Sin and short Quranic surahs, and the Deputy Grand Mufti, Prof. Dr. Enes Ljevaković, will lead the prayer.
According to the protocol, after that, the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community, Husein-ef. Kavazović, will address those present.
