Most of Sarajevo without water on Thursday

(Patria) - The public company Vodovod i Kanalizacija Sarajevo has announced works on connecting the newly laid DN 700 pipeline, which will cause reduced pressure or interruptions in water supply in most of the city on Thursday.

On Thursday, August 8, 2024, works are planned to connect the newly laid DN 700 pressure pipeline Bačevo-Alipašin most in Ilidža near the Bulevar settlement. These works are being carried out as part of the project for the construction of the XIII transversal, the water company stated.

From the early morning hours, there will be a multi-hour interruption or reduced water pressure in the following settlements: Ciglane, Park settlement, Koševo, Jezero, Bare, Šip, Betanija, Breka, Stara Breka, Bjelave, Mejtaš, Džidžikovac, Podhrastovi, Grdonj, Sedrenik, Koševsko brdo, Kobilja Glava, Velešići, Gornji Velešići, Pofalići, Hum brdo, Dumače, Ugorsko, Hotonj, Barica, Krše, Dreskovača, Orahov brijeg, Kromolj, Blekin potok settlement, Slatina, Boljakov potok, Buća potok, Vitkovac, Sokolje, Zabrđe, Briješće brdo.

Normalization of water supply is expected in the late evening hours.

We ask all users in these areas to secure sufficient amounts of water given the longer interruption in water supply. The company "Vodovod i kanalizacija" will, if necessary, provide tankers with drinking water.
