
(Patria) - In Tuzla, Banja Luka, Kalesija, Doboj, Lukavac, Maglaj, and Bosanski Brod, the air is unhealthy this morning, so citizens are advised to avoid spending time outdoors due to possible negative consequences for the respiratory organs, it was announced on the website "Zrak.eko-akcija".
Measurements taken at 8:00 AM showed that the air quality index in Tuzla is 196, Banja Luka 194, Kalesija 166, Doboj 165, Lukavac 157, Maglaj 153, and Bosanski Brod 152.
People with lung and heart conditions, pregnant women, children, and the elderly should reduce any activities while outdoors, and other citizens should also avoid prolonged stays outdoors and strenuous physical exertion.
In Sarajevo, Živinice, Prijedor, and Travnik, the air is unhealthy for sensitive groups of the population. The air quality index is 136 in Sarajevo, 124 in Živinice, 114 in Prijedor, and 111 in Travnik.
Moderately polluted air was recorded in Visoko, Livno, Vogošća, Kakanj, Zenica, Gacko, Ilijaš, Hadžići, and Bihać.
Air quality index values are interpreted as follows:
– 0 to 50: good,
– 51 to 100: moderately polluted,
– 101 to 150: unhealthy for sensitive groups,
– 151 to 200: unhealthy,
– 201 to 300: very unhealthy,
– above 300: dangerous to health.
