Memorial 'Alija Izetbegović' begins in Bihać, large number of visitors expected

(Patria) - The Memorial 'Alija Izetbegović' begins today at Baksajske bare in Bihać, an event that has been recognized for years as one of the most important equestrian sports events in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The organizer of the event is the Equestrian Club 'Jedinstvo' Bihać, which with great dedication preserves and nurtures the tradition of horse racing in Krajina.

As in previous years, a large number of visitors are expected this time as well from the entire Una-Sana Canton, but also from other parts of the country. A special charm to this competition is given by the fact that the best horses from the entire region will be presented on the track – from Baljaci all the way to other parts of BiH and beyond. Horse racing enthusiasts can expect top-notch competitions, sportsmanship, and a rich program accompanying this event.

The Memorial bears the name of the first president of independent Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović, in memory of his role and contribution to the state, but also as an opportunity to gather citizens through sports and demonstrate unity.

According to the organizers' announcements, the event will be attended by the president of the Party of Democratic Action, Bakir Izetbegović, along with numerous guests from political, social, and sports life. Their presence further confirms the importance and seriousness of this traditional event.
