Bicycles increasingly attractive to thieves in BiH

Police arrested a man from Banja Luka who stole bicycles in the city on the Vrbas River. The Banja Luka police announced that they apprehended a person with initials H.S., who is suspected of stealing several bicycles in the area of the City of Banja Luka between June 10 and July 18 this year, which he later sold, reports the Patria news agency.

Bicycles are increasingly popular among citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so their theft has also increased. Thieves take advantage of owners' carelessness, and even bicycles with protection are not safe. The most common targets are expensive bicycles, which are later sold on the black market for as little as 100 KM, or less.

The police ask citizens not to buy bicycles from street vendors, in order to at least somewhat reduce bicycle theft in BiH, reports NAP.
