(Patria) - BiH should receive 7,000 tests for the coronavirus today, and 40 ventilators should arrive in the next two weeks. This was announced by the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Johan Sattler. He clarified that this is the first part of the aid package, within which BiH will receive 80 ventilators and a larger number of tests.
Seven million euros have been secured for medical assistance to BiH. In addition, Sattler reminded that another 70 million euros will be provided through grants to save companies from the transport and service sectors, which are the most vulnerable.
Sattler assessed that BiH is currently fighting the epidemic well, but that this is only the beginning, warning that it is necessary to continue working together and with stronger coordination between cantons, entities, and the BiH level.
“What has been shown to be successful so far, but we need to do it in other sectors as well. It is necessary to have the same solutions in both entities, that would be a successful formula,” Sattler emphasized, BHT reports.
According to him, the most important thing at this moment is to increase the number of tests, which has been relatively low so far.
