VIENNA, (Patria) - Protests "Justice for David and Dženan" will be held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, on May 12, organized by the family of the murdered young man David Dragičević. His father Davor had to leave Banja Luka at the end of last year and has been in Austria since then. He does not know when or if he will return to Banja Luka. The family of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, father Muriz and sister Arijana, as well as family members living in Vienna, and the lawyer for both families, Ifet Feraget, will attend the peaceful protests.
More than a year has passed since the murder of David Dragičević without any indictment or suspects for the young man's murder. On March 15 this year, the day David Dragičević was buried for the second time in Austria, lawyer Ifet Feraget filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the violation of the right to life and other rights in the context of the actions of the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka and the Republican Prosecutor's Office in the case of David Dragičević. The Memić family is awaiting the verdict of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina after a hearing was held at the end of April regarding the appeal of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office against the first-instance acquittal verdict for Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović. Muriz Memić told the Patria agency that he will organize protests in Sarajevo after the verdict. Given that the High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko will speak about these two cases before the UN Security Council today, Memić says it is good that they are being discussed.
The "Justice for David" gatherings, which were held daily in Banja Luka, have been banned until further notice.
