Inspector arrested in Banja Luka for accepting bribe

(Patria) - Banja Luka police arrested an inspector from the Department for Inspection Affairs of the City of Banja Luka, identified by initials D.B., suspected of accepting a bribe.

The inspector was arrested yesterday as part of an operation codenamed "Koverta" (Envelope), on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of accepting a bribe during December, it was announced from the Banja Luka Police Administration.

Under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor's Office of Republika Srpska - Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and the Most Serious Forms of Economic Crime, police officers found and seized items and information that can serve as evidence in criminal proceedings.

The arrested individual will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Republika Srpska today, after criminal processing, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.
