Central program of the 'Days of the Congregation and Mosques' event in Banja Luka today

(Patria) - The central event of the manifestation "Days of the Congregation and Mosques" will be held today in the complex of the Arnaudija Mosque in Banja Luka.

The program will take place within the mosque premises and its courtyard, with the participation of four hafiz.

- The significance of the sacred space and the ritual spaces of Muslims, where they preserve the sanctity of the human being, and the values that the Almighty God has marked as important for people, should be our theme and message from the Arnaudija Mosque during this celebration - said the Mufti of Banja Luka, Ismail-ef. Smajlović.

Reminding that the Rijaset decided that the Day of Mosques should be marked on May 7, the day of the demolition of the Banja Luka mosques, primarily Ferhadija and Arnaudija, Mufti Smajlović points out that the condemnation of crime and evil is primarily an indicator of humanity.

- That was a painful act, not only for Muslims, but also for non-Muslims who respect the sanctity of God's houses. I must admit that non-Muslims also participated in the restoration and reconstruction of these two buildings in Banja Luka, as well as other mosques.

Therefore, even today, many are glad that they have been returned to their places and that they beautify this city, and I believe that this message and such an attitude need to continue to be built - says Smajlović.

Admir-ef. Blitović, head of the Service for Religious Affairs and Education of the Banja Luka Muftiship, says that the program includes the recitation of certain passages from the Quran by four hafiz.

- Along with the recitation of the Quran, narrators will also perform, reading translations of the recited verses and short essays prepared for this occasion by academician Enes Karić.

The presence of Reis-ul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović is also planned, who will address his message to the present believers, as well as an address by Mufti Smajlović at the beginning of the program.

The program foresees that the prayer (dova) will be recited by hafiz Dr. Mensur-ef. Malkić, director of the Rijaset's Administration for Religious Affairs - announced Blitović.

During this period, two exhibitions have also been set up in Banja Luka. In the courtyard of Ferhadija, there is an exhibition dedicated to all Banja Luka mosques, and in the courtyard of Arnaudija, an exhibition dedicated specifically to that mosque.
