Sad news from Goražde: Body of Mehmed Klačar found in the Drina River

(Patria) - Sad news reaches us from the city on the banks of the Drina River.

The day-long search for the missing Goražde resident Mehmed Klačar has ended, but unfortunately not with a happy ending.



"In the evening hours, the body was found, and later the identity of the missing Mehmed Klačar was confirmed. We thank everyone who participated or in any way helped in conducting the search," the Goražde Mountain Rescue Service announced.

Klačar's body was found in the Drina River in the Goražde neighborhood of Hubjeri.

Let us recall, his disappearance was reported after he left his family home yesterday and went in an unknown direction.



At the request of the Ministry of Interior of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde, members of the Goražde Mountain Rescue Service and Civil Protection joined the search. During the day, about 20 kilometers of the Drina riverbed were searched, while the search on the banks lasted until the evening hours.
