(Patria) - Families of victims, survivors, and delegations from all levels of government today marked 34 years since the killing of 26 Sarajevo citizens in Ferhadija Street by laying flowers, reciting Fatiha, and paying tribute.

It was the first and one of the three largest massacres of Sarajevo citizens during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995.

Today, a permanent reminder of the bloody May 27, 1992, stands in Ferhadija Street, the Sarajevo Rose, marking the site where a shell fell. Flowers were also laid by the BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić, and delegations from the KS Government, KS Assembly, Sarajevo municipalities, and citizens' associations...

Addressing the media, Komšić spoke very emotionally about that day.

"Most of you are very young, you don't remember that day. Some do. It was a day like this - beautiful, warm, and sunny. Isn't it wrong for a person to curse on this day, in this place? Although, I'd most like to curse. Was this also a struggle for power? Was this a struggle for power? Or was this a struggle for survival? That's all," Komšić said.

This was also a response to Sabina Ćudić, president of Our Party, who a few days ago told parliamentarians of the Council of Europe in the City Hall that there was a "struggle for power" in BiH, which caused numerous and strong reactions. However, Ćudić maintained her stance that she did not err in such a definition.

On that tragic day, while waiting in line for bread, the following were killed: Nedžad Abdija, Ismet Ašćerić, Ruždija Bektešević, Snježana Biloš, Predrag Bogdanović, Vladimir Bogunović, Vasva Čengić, Gordana Čeklić, Mirsad Fazlagić, Emina Karamustafić, Mediha Omerović, Bahrija Pilav, Mila Ruždić, Mile Ružić, Abdulah Sarajlić, Sulejman Sarajlić, Hatidža Salić, Galib Sinotić, Sreten Stamenović, Srećko Šiklić, Božica Trajeri-Pataki, Vlatko Tanacković, Srećko Tanasković, Tamara Vejzagić-Kostić, Jusuf Vladović, and Izudin Zukić.
