
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first contracts for the realization of a portion of the total 900,000 BAM from the Special Fee for Protection from Natural and Other Disasters, which the Government directed for the procurement of specified medical equipment, protective equipment, and protective agents were signed today.
This concerns equipment identified as a priority in terms of the needs of healthcare institutions in the Tuzla Canton, it was announced on the website of the Government of TK.
"The total value of the contracts signed today is around 400,000 BAM, and these funds will be used to procure disposable gloves, protective goggles, reusable protective suits with hoods that can be washed and disinfected, disposable bouffant caps, disposable surgical masks, protective footwear, and disposable protective suits with an increased level of protection against chemicals and biological agents," said the Commander of the Cantonal Civil Protection Headquarters, Mustafa Šakić, adding that the procured equipment and agents will certainly mean a lot to medical institutions in their activities to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
After signing these contracts, out of the total approved 900,000 BAM for the procurement of additional consumables and protective equipment, approximately 250,000 BAM remains, as well as 250,000.00 BAM intended for the procurement of specific devices for the needs of healthcare institutions.
