Prosecutor threatened: "Tell me who your source is for these texts. My boss and I will sue you"

State prosecutor Dragica Glušac, due to whom the marketing affair „Gibraltar“ worth more than five million marks was brought into question, because due to her unpreparedness at the hearing held to determine detention measures for nine suspects the case was watered down, called the Patria newsroom today and verbally insulted the editorial board and journalists over texts published about her, announcing a lawsuit and the engagement of no less than three or four lawyers, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

When the prosecutor, otherwise known for having, as a judge at the Municipal Court in Velika Kladuša, sentenced a rapist to a suspended sentence and as a lawyer defended the Foča monster Radovan Stanković, was offered to deny everything written so far about her and her property status, she explicitly refused, demanding that we reveal our source to her.

After we explained to her that we had waited more than 20 days for a response from the spokesperson of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the inquiry about whether she was on sick leave, which she allegedly abruptly went on, prosecutor Glušac asked in a very sharp tone, „and why does it concern you whether I am on sick leave or not“.

In an attempt to have a normal conversation, we told her to contact spokesperson Boris Grubešić and ask him whether there was correspondence between the newsroom and him, and that we intended to request a conversation with her as well if she was not on sick leave, she continued the conversation in a very raised tone, saying: "So, Boris is your source of information'“.

Upon clarification that he was only sent a letter to provide us with an answer about whether she was on sick leave or not, and that in accordance with the Law on Freedom of Access to Information, the media and the public have the right to such information, in a tone that is completely unbecoming of a state prosecutor, she continued the story about how her daughter is indeed a volunteer at the court in Banja Luka (thereby confirming Patria's reporting) and that there was no harm done.

When it comes to property, she only said that it is normal that after 34 years of service, with loans, she acquired real estate. The fact that her photo cannot be found anywhere on the internet, not even on the official website of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she commented with the following words: „Why didn't you take a picture of me 34 years ago, and tell me who your source is for these texts. My boss and I will sue you“.

It is obvious that the prosecutor was only touched by the texts related to her property and her daughter's employment, and she reacted quite nervously with verbal threats, without mentioning the „Gibraltar“ affair, the suspended sentence for the rapist, or the defense of the Foča monster, which are the main highlights of her biography. The conversation with the prosecutor was abruptly terminated, as she, visibly irritated, hung up the phone.
