The storm over hiring at the company Sarajevogas, the sudden resignation of director Edis Baković, the appointment of Haset Tirić, and mutual accusations between the Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection and Deputy in the Cantonal Assembly Damir Marjanović has not yet subsided.
Minister Bečarević submitted a report to the Office for the Fight against Corruption and Quality Management of the Canton Sarajevo regarding all information about events in this company, the role of Damir Marjanović, and the political trade in which he is involved. For years, Marjanović has been alleged to informally manage processes in this public cantonal company. Some of the newly employed in this company are members of Marjanović's ZNG.
Marjanović also addressed the Office and requested that all allegations be investigated. The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office received a report from the Office for the Fight against Corruption regarding political trade, and one of the prosecutors has been assigned to act on the report.
Deputy Marjanović, in a statement for Federal Television, denied all accusations by Minister Bečarević, but then admitted that he communicates with the Supervisory Board of Sarajevogas and that he spoke with the minister about approvals for hiring. Minister Bečarević did not want to give approval for hiring more than 30 people, after which Marjanović requested four.
"I contacted people from Sarajevogas and asked them to give me those four positions that are most urgent for them, and they gave them to me, and those are those four positions," Marjanović said for FTV.
In this way, Marjanović admitted that he communicates with the management structures of Sarajevogas and lobbied Minister Bečarević for new hires.
Of the three members of the Supervisory Board, two are members of the movement For New Generations: Afan Kalamujić and Ibrahim Obhođaš.
Marjanović, together with independent deputies Redžo Lemezan and Admela Hodžić, is in negotiations on the reconstruction of the Cantonal Government, from which the troika wants to remove the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The troika has not yet commented, but they do not want to give up on the reconstruction of the Cantonal Government, even at the cost of being the subject of an investigation by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office into political trade and political corruption.
