(Patria) - By order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency began searches early this morning at several locations in the Zenica-Doboj Canton and Sarajevo Canton to document the criminal offense of giving a false statement.
During the day, Kenan Uzunović will be questioned at SIPA premises as a suspect, whom the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office charges with giving a false statement.
Namely, after Kenan Uzunović, a representative in the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament, stated in the media that he was offered money not to vote for the new Federation Government, the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office ex officio initiated a case to verify such allegations.
During the giving of a statement as a witness, at the invitation of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, Uzunović falsely stated that he had changed his phone, with which he recorded an audio recording in which an unknown person offers him money, and that he had deleted the recording.
However, the investigation established that he did not change his phone, but rather turned it off after the hearing and stopped using it, even though he knew it represented crucial evidence in this criminal proceeding.
