(Patria) - Representatives of the Alliance and Associations of Veterans and Civil War Victims, signatories of the joint initiative called "The Path of Justice and Truth," gathered today in front of the Court of BiH in support of General Atif Dudaković and others being tried before the Court of BiH for war crimes.
In addition to supporting the general and his soldiers who heroically defended the people of Bosanska Krajina and liberated Bosnia and Herzegovina, their goal is to highlight and attempt to stop selective justice.
"We are witnesses that today, both those who burned Bosnia and those who defended it are equally on the defendant benches, that the A-list is trapped in the drawers of a politically controlled Prosecutor's Office, so there are no indictments for the sieges of Sarajevo, Goražde, Bihać, Mostar, Vitez...", they stated from the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide.
Murat Tahirović from the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide said that General Dudaković cannot be guilty for defending BiH, and any individual who committed a crime should be held accountable for it.
"This is the beginning of our activity, which will be in accordance with how the institutions behave in line with the proposals we have sent them," said Tahirović.
He stated that only two trials for the genocide in Srebrenica are being conducted at the Court of BiH, and not a single one for the genocide in Prijedor.
"Although we have a verdict for the genocide committed in Prijedor dating back to 1995. We also have other verdicts for other cities where genocide was committed. However, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has not included any of those cities for genocide. Currently, 46 proceedings are being conducted against members of the Fifth Corps, and not a single proceeding against members of the Romanija Corps, which held Sarajevo under siege for over 1,400 days, where over 1,600 children were killed. We have selective justice that we must stop. Otherwise, we will end up in a position where we will have to apologize to those who killed us during the 1990s," said Tahirović.

"This trial of Dudaković and others is confirmation that our judiciary is under political influence. How else to explain that for the siege of Sarajevo lasting 1,425 days, in which 11,540 civilians were killed, including 1,601 children, there has never been a single indictment, while indictments are raised against those who defended this state?
Everyone for whom there is a basis should be prosecuted, but there is no logic in trying to reach a verdict in some cases multiple times, while for the siege of Sarajevo there is still no indictment. The Prosecutor's Office has failed the test long ago; it is not doing its job as it should. If nothing changes, this leads nowhere. A narrative of equal responsibility is definitely being created, which is not good," said Fikret Grabovica, president of the Association of Parents of Killed Children of Besieged Sarajevo.
In front of the Court of BiH, representatives of veterans and victims placed a large flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the Mothers of Srebrenica and Žepa, Munira Subašić and Kada Hotić, also came to show support.
"Atif Dudaković was on the B-list. The Hague Tribunal had no evidence; it could not bring anything against him. Those who are on the A-list work in parliament, are professors, work in the police, there are two of them in the court whom I will not name, but I will name them someday. It's all politics," said Munira Subašić.
When asked whether she is disturbed by the announcements from the smaller BiH entity ahead of the verdict for Dodik, Munira said she is not disturbed. "Fools and thorns will never disappear!" she stated.
