(Patria) - The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska entity, Radovan Višković, stated today in Brčko that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has already opened a case regarding the celebration of the unconstitutional January 9th as the day of RS, which was challenged by the Constitutional Court of BiH.
“The invitation to Banja Luka arrived yesterday. A case has been opened in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. They are so ‘expeditious’ that they requested information to be submitted by the end of the working day,” Višković said, as reported by RTRS.
“Perhaps they will persecute us, perhaps they will put us on trial, but they will have to put the people and all Serbs of Republika Srpska on trial, from Trebinje, through Brčko to Novi Grad, because there was not a single local community that did not mark the Day of Republika Srpska,” Višković said.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed for N1 that a case has been formed, handled by a prosecutorial team of four prosecutors, and it relates to the marking of January 9th last year.
“Information has been requested from the Constitutional Court of BiH, and an order has been sent to the State Investigation and Protection Agency to carry out certain actions and checks. When a prosecutorial decision is made, the public will be informed,” stated the State Prosecutor's Office.
“Regarding the 2025 event, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has no registered report/notification,” the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced.
However, it is evident that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has no prosecutors who would act ex officio regarding the marking of January 9th, but are waiting for a report.
