Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an arrest warrant: Security Minister Nenad Nešić said he will surrender himself

(Patria) - Minister of Security of BiH Nenad Nešić fled BiH ahead of an operation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH targeting Mladen Lučić, Istraga.ba learns.

Members of the RS MUP arrested Mladen Lučić, owner of the company “Legend” from East Sarajevo, on Thursday morning. Lučić was for years a close associate of the Minister of Security of BiH Nenad Nešić. Mladen Lučić is, incidentally, the brother of Miloš Lučić, former Minister for Human Rights and Refugees.

After learning that a warrant for his arrest had been issued, Nešić became unavailable to the prosecuting authorities. Istraga.ba attempted to contact the Minister of Security of BiH, but he did not answer our calls.

Mladen Lučić was arrested for corruption dating back to 2019. The case involves criminal activity in the Roads of RS while Nešić was director of that company.

Nešić announced that he will surrender himself.
