Turkish organizations and associations to distribute meat to 20,000 vulnerable families in BiH

A large number of humanitarian organizations and associations from Turkey will distribute qurbans, slaughtered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to 20,000 vulnerable families, the Turkish Embassy in BiH announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha this year in Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the Humanitarian Organization of the Islamic Community of the Republic of Turkey (Diyanet Vakfı) and the Red Crescent (Kızılay), associations IHH, Deniz Feneri, Yeryüzü Doktorları, Cansuyu, Aziz Mahmut Hüdayi, and some municipalities will slaughter three thousand qurbans.

The qurbans slaughtered in the name of benefactors from Turkey will be distributed by humanitarian associations throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina to vulnerable Bosniak, as well as Serb and Croat families.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cihad Erginay, also emphasized the importance of mutual assistance in his Eid message.

Erginay stated that after the natural disasters that befell Bosnia and Herzegovina, last year, in addition to state associations, the people of Anatolia extended a helping hand to those in need in brotherly Bosnia.

- With the meat distributed for Eid al-Adha, the brotherhood between the citizens of the two countries became evident. I strongly believe that this Eid too, charitable activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of religious and ethnic affiliation, carried out by non-governmental organizations, municipalities, and our citizens, in addition to state associations, will strengthen love and tolerance among peoples and significantly contribute to building a future in peace - the Eid message reads.

For the last Eid al-Adha in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Humanitarian Organization of the Islamic Community of the Republic of Turkey (Diyanet Vakfı) distributed 420 qurbans, Hasene Association 1498, IHH Humanitarian Organization 217, Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Association 210, Deniz Feneri Association 100, and Yeryüzü Doktorları Association 90 qurbans for 15,000 vulnerable families.
