Turkey has issued an arrest warrant for Fethullah Gulen, an Islamic thinker and former imam living in the US, whom President Tayyip Erdogan accuses of attempting to overthrow the government, state broadcaster TRT Haber reported today, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
Gulen, who has been living in Pennsylvania since 1999, has been in open conflict with Erdogan over investigations that were directed against Erdogan a year ago, for which he blames Gulen.
A Turkish court on Friday detained editors and journalists close to Gulen.
