Amel Tuka, the best Bosnian athlete, finished third last night with a season-best result of 1:43.62. His time from Monte Carlo is the third best in the world, and Amel Tuka is currently the fastest man in Europe over 800 meters.

The race in Monte Carlo was also the fastest 800-meter race of the season in the world, and Tuka proved he is in excellent form! He is third in the world and first in Europe, leaving behind the Pole Kszczot with a lead of more than a second!

Amel has registered to compete at the Diamond League in London on July 20 and is still awaiting confirmation from the organizers.

“I feel better and better from race to race. I already had two races at 1:44 and I knew I was on the right track. Honestly, I was a bit surprised myself by the time from Monte Carlo because my coach is still keeping me at 90% readiness, but the competition also played its part, because I love competing with the best and that gives me even more motivation. I have to stay patient and fully trust my coach and his words that I will be in my top form only in Doha. Thank God I am healthy, I train regularly and I am slowly returning to where I belong,” Tuka said.
