Trump gives Iran fifteen days to reach a deal or face action

(Patria) - US President Donald Trump stated that Iran has a maximum of fifteen days to reach a deal, starting with its nuclear program, suggesting that the United States would attack if it does not, AFP reported.

"Either we will reach a deal, or it will be unfortunate for them," Trump told reporters.

When asked about his timeframe, Trump said: "I think that would be enough time - ten, fifteen days, almost the maximum."

Trump had previously suggested ten days on Thursday for Iran to reach a deal.
"Over the years, it has proven not to be easy to reach a meaningful deal with Iran. We must reach a meaningful deal, otherwise bad things will happen," Trump said at the inaugural meeting of the "Peace Committee," his initiative to ensure stability in Gaza.

He warned at an event in Washington that the United States "may have to take a further step" without any deal, adding: "You will find out in the next probably ten days."

Trump's friend and traveling envoy Steve Witkoff and the President's son-in-law Jared Kushner met indirectly in Geneva on Tuesday with the highest-ranking Iranian diplomat, who said progress had been made.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to discuss with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel on February 28, who has long advocated for strong action against Tehran and ordered a bombing campaign last year.
