Trojka will ask Dodik to protect returnees in RS at tomorrow's meeting

(Patria) - A meeting of the leaders of the parties forming the state government will be held on Wednesday in the BiH PA building.

The Prime Minister of the FBiH and the president of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, said that they will discuss all current topics with their partners.

„We want to open the issue of the security aspect in terms of the increasingly frequent incidents and events in RS. Returnees are exposed to torture and beatings every now and then. We will ask our partners to undertake everything in their power to protect these people“, said Nikšić in the Polis TVSA show.

Speaking about the amendments to the Law on the HJPC, Nikšić confirmed that there is a one-year deadline to adopt a completely new law, and that they are aware that the one being adopted is not ideal.

When it comes to the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH, Nikšić said that they have committed to working on it, but it must be in line with European standards.

"To resolve all dilemmas, as far as SDP is concerned, and I can say the Trojka as well, we will never agree to national voting within the Constitutional Court of BiH. We cannot be a member of the EU if judges who are not citizens of BiH sit in the Constitutional Court. And when that will happen depends on us“, said Nikšić.
