Trivić: I believe SNSD will participate in the elections for the President of Republika Srpska either directly or through an 'independent candidate'

(Patria) - President of the National Front Jelena Trivić commented on the statement by SNSD leader Milorad Dodik that this party will not participate in the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska after his mandate was revoked, and the Central Election Commission scheduled the elections for November 23.

Dodik said that SNSD, "consistently respecting the decision of the NSRS, will not nominate a candidate, nor will it participate." However, he left room for a different approach by the party, stating: "Perhaps we will participate in another way."

Trivić believes that this sentence speaks for itself.

"I firmly believe and know that SNSD will participate in the early elections, even though they claim today that this is not an option. So, SNSD will not nominate a candidate, but that does not mean that some 'independent' candidate, whom they will support, will not run. For example, that could be one of the variants," Trivić stated.

She added that the position of her movement is clear.

"The decapitation of institutions must end. This is not about choosing the best solution, but about the fact that elections are the least bad solution for Republika Srpska. Everything else leads to further deepening of the constitutional-legal and political crisis," Trivić emphasized.
