Three months after the Paralympics: FBiH Government finally rewards sitting volleyball players

The Government of the Federation of BiH today gave consent for awarding prizes to the Paralympic Committee of BiH from Sarajevo for achieving the Paralympic norm for 12 representatives in sitting volleyball and two representatives in athletics, Dževad Pandžić and Dženita Klico, for their participation in the Paralympic Games held in Rio in 2016, in the amount of 70,000 KM.

The Sitting Volleyball Association of BiH in Sarajevo, for winning second place at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, was awarded 60,000 KM for 12 representatives, and 7,500 KM for the selector and two coaches.

For the Swimming Association of BiH in Sarajevo, for achieving the Olympic norm for representative Amina Kajtaz at the OI-Rio 2016, 5,000 KM will be allocated.

The Skating and Roller Skating Club "The One I" from Sarajevo was awarded a prize of 3,000 KM for a new national record by representative Emir Branković in the 500 meters in the short track speed skating discipline, and 1,500 KM for his coach.

The University Karate Club "Neretva" from Mostar, for winning a bronze medal by representative Ivona Čavar at the World Karate Championship, will be allocated 5,000 KM.

The Taekwondo Club "Novi grad" will be awarded a monetary prize in the total amount of 18,000 KM for medals won at the Universiade. For winning first place in the category up to 87 kg, Armin Gredić and Ivan Šolić will each receive 5,000 KM, and 2,500 KM each for their coaches. Nejla Kaljanac, for winning third place, was awarded 2,000 KM, and 1,000 KM for the coach.

For the Athletics Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for achieving a national record by members of the representative 4x400 meter relay at the Balkan Senior Championship, from the current reserve of the FBiH Government for 2016, 3,000 KM will be allocated, and 1,500 KM for their coaches.

The Judo Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Sarajevo, for winning a bronze medal by representative Aleksandra Samardžić at the European Championship for U23, held in Tel Aviv in 2016, receives a prize of 15,000 KM, of which 10,000 KM goes to Samardžić and 5,000 KM to her coach.

For the Athletics Association "Sloboda-Tehnograd", the prize is in the total amount of 4,500 KM for achieving a national record by representative Rusmir Malkočević, with 3,000 KM for Malkočević and 1,500 for the coach.
